South Florida Chapter

The ladies of Briny Breezes meet in their clubhouse all season to cut and sew and quilt. The result for the last 3 years has been a beautiful collection of 50 finished quilts ready to make 50 lucky children feel loved and cherished.

Florida State Fair

The Palm Beach County Quilt Guild added a "Make a Square" to their booth at the state fair. A  total of 40 quilts were created from the muslin squares that all the interested children colored during the 2 weeks of the fair.

Make a blanket Day

Members of Project Linus and friends get together and spend an afternoon learning new methods to create blankets and to try to finish as many as possible. Its a great way to try out a skill you would like to learn and adds needed blankets for the many children of South Florida.

Annually, Project Linus sets up a booth during VIP Day and assists the campers in creating theme related pictures on muslin squares that will be made into a quilt. All the campers receive a Project Linus blanket when they arrive at camp.

The Pre Kindergarten classes completed their lessons on giving by spending time tying fringed fleece for Project Linus to be donated to Florence Fuller Head Start. They also decided collect new yarn for the ladies to make even more blankets to help the children of South Florida.
